Hi, there.  My name is Dave and I try to play the ukulele.  I started last summer and am having a ball playing.  I play, therefore I am happy.

The ukulele has got to be the happiest instrument. Of all “real” instruments, excepting the harmonica, it’s probably the least expensive (if you buy an inexpensive one).

It’s truly a folk instrument and a great accompaniment  to the voice.  It’s easy to play and you can pack it almost anywhere.

I did a blog before and it sucked. (See?) It sucked because it was nothing but lame crap that happened to me.  Ukuleles are something I love and have a passion for. So I hope I don’t suck at this blog too.

I also play guitar.  I never got too good at it.  It wasn’t for trying.  I could play a lot of chords but never did well at solo or lead.  So I called myself a rhythm guitarist. Pete Townshend Joe Strummer were also rhythm guitars players, but I am certainly not either of them.
